Easy Blender Salsa (Chili's Copycat)

This Easy Blender Salsa (a Chili's Copycat) is what we make all year long, but especially during the Summer when tomatoes are in season.

If there is one question I get on my Instagram feed on a weekly basis, it's "where is that popular salsa recipe you are always talking about?" Here it is!

Easy Blender Salsa (Chili's Copycat)

Remember the 4,307 tomatoes I am getting from my two tomato plants?  Well, I am trying to use them up the best that I can.  So far it has come in BLTs, my homemade pizza sauce and the fan favorite crockpot basil marinara sauce.  I apologize that you'll be seeing a lot of red in the coming posts.

Blame the tomatoes.

Easy Blender Salsa (Chili's Copycat)

I came across the blog Chef in Training this week, and low and behold she was featuring this salsa.  Crazy!  I just happen to have ump-teen tomatoes sitting on my kitchen counter and my husband and I often go to Chili's.  There is one fairly close and we always, always, always order their chips and salsa as an appetizer.

Because it is good, with unlimited refills and only $2.95.

We're cheap, what can I say? We've found that this recipe tastes very similar!

This salsa literally takes 5 minutes to put together.  I changed a few things, but kept most of the recipe the same.  I took a bowl of it to work and it was devoured.  I've eaten it for lunch two days in a row.

Need anymore reasons to make it?

I'm going to make this! We love Chili's chips/salsa too :) Did you peel your fresh tomatoes or just throw them in the blender as is?

  5. Lucky you! I have 3 tomato plants and have only wrangled up 6 total tomatoes! The weather really screwed us - but hey, this is our 3rd year gardening and the ONLY year we've ever been able to successfully grow tomatoes - so I'll take it! Gonna have to whip up this salsa soon =)
