2012 was great. I continued on with my 3rd year of food blogging {still crazy to imagine}, had a few opportunities with local media outlets and basically cooked and baked my little butt off.
One of my favorites things to do at the end of the year, is recap some of my top recipes. This year, I've gone back and plucked out the top recipe I blogged about each month. These are the recipes that got the most page views, downloads and questions.
And you know what they say about recipes with a lot of web traffic....they are usually pretty darn good! Just click on the month to take you to that page, with that recipe.
My mom and I were actually talking about these meatballs over Christmas and how we haven't made them in a while. With a freezer currently stocked with meat, you better bet these will be on our menu again soon.
For whatever reason, these cookies are viewed often. Crisp on the edges, soft and chewy in the middle....ah....the angels are singing.
Continuing on the dessert train, here are some of the most talked about blondies. With a hint of cappuccino flavoring, they melt in your mouth.
I couldn't have one month without pizza! Most know I'd eat pizza everyday of the week if allowed. This version is Mexi-style. So, very good.
When the warm weather hits the Midwest, we all venture outside and fire up our grills. This Bacon Cheese Turkey Burger? Heaven.
I could probably slather buffalo sauce on my flip flops in the summer and find a meal out of it. I'm pretty sure the rest of America is in the same boat.
Every blog, needs a good dip. I found this one this past summer and made it twice in one week. In fact, I should be making it right now!
Of all things - I just had to mix together bacon, buffalo sauce and cheese. This recipe was a finalist in major nationwide contest this summer and also made the finals in a bacon contest this fall. For those reasons alone, you should make it.
Alcohol in cupcakes anyone? Don't worry this version has the flavor of buttery cinnamon and sugar toast. One of the best cupcakes to date {thanks for the recipe Angie!}
The perfect fall food. A bowl of hot chili in homemade bread bowls. Need I say more?
Crab, cheese, green onions, buttery bread crumbs. Pretend you are in a Chinese restaurant and eating a crab rangoon. Then make this dip and have the whole bowl to yourself.
Oh, for the love of a scone. If you've not had the pleasure of eating a scone, this is the recipe to try. Simple to put together, bake in just minutes. The fresh fruit makes it even better.
There you have it folks! My most popular recipes from each month in 2012. All of this could not be possible without you the readers. The people who keep me in the kitchen, the people who comment daily {thanks!}, the people that challenge me to take better photos and create unique meals.
A food blog is NO fun without you. So thanks.
Cheers to 2013.
I would officially like to apply to Ally's Kitchen as a taste tester. I'll forward you my resume ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat list of recipes! I have tried the crab dip one, and now I need to try some of the others :-)
