Feeding a crowd? Want to warm up the house with a delicious smell? Create a meal that takes no time at all?
This is the one!
It's football Saturday at this house and this would be a great dish to bring {all right in the slow cooker}to a party or a friend's house. Cook it all night or if it is a night party cook it all day. It will be ready to go just in time to eat. Shred it up and go!
It does come with a bit of a kick from the chipotle chiles, so if you can't handle some of the heat just reduce the amount you put in the slow cooker. But, I would not omit it completely because it gives the meat GREAT flavor.
2 onions, peeled and quartered
1 whole pork butt (pork shoulder roast)
1 8 oz. can chipotle chiles in adobo sacue
2 12 oz. cans Dr. Pepper
4 T. brown sugar
salt
pepper
1. Set out your largest crock pot. Lay peeled and quartered onions in the bottom.
2. Liberally season roast with salt and pepper, then place on top of the onions.
3. Pour in canned chipotle chiles, brown sugar and Dr. Pepper.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Flip the roast halfway way through, around 4 hours in.
5. When done, shred meat with a fork and serve on kaiser rolls.
6. Add additional sauces or chopped pickles if you like.
Who is going to run out to the store this weekend and buy a pork roast???
Have a great weekend and I hope you enjoy this one!

We have Sunday dinner EVERY week with my in-laws. Since John and I have access to affordable, quality beef and pork from my parents, we try to bring the meat when possible. This will be a great recipe to try!
