I was given a Touch brewer for review but all opinions are my own.
You know, there are many "perks" to food blogging. Today a fresh pork roast was delivered on my door step. Last week coupons for free ice cream. And a couple weeks back this awesome coffee brewer.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this blog has turned into a part-time job. I guess everyone's goal in life is to have a job they love, but let's be honest that doesn't always happen. After 5+ years of blogging {yes, that long!} I can say I really, really do love my job.
When I was contacted about this new system, it was another pinch me moment. I love trying new products and sharing the results with my readers. BUT, I always make sure that if I love the companies product, that they agree to give one away to my readers as well.

Now, here comes the confusing part.
I'm not a coffee drinker. I love the smell, love the thought of it, I just never got started drinking it. However, I am a hot tea and cocoa drinker.
And the husband is a coffee drinker. So please don't assume this new system will collect dust in our house. It will NOT. In fact, it's been used a handle of times already. When a girlfriend stopped by one morning, I made her sit down and try it {she inadvertently became my hand model in the first photo - thanks Amanda!}. When her sister tagged along, I made her try a cup as well. Then later that day when I was craving some tea, as it was cold and dreary, I made a cup too.
One of the drawbacks to single serve coffee brewing in the past has been weak coffee, as well as flawed capsule designs and water brewing systems.
Touch Coffee & Beverages has re-invented this platform with the release of the Touch T414S and its re-engineered capsules. Not only does it product superior tasting, coffee shop-like quality in less time than current machines, but they are also open platform. What I think is cool is about this system is how fast it heats and brews. Ideal brewing water temperature is between 195-200 degrees Fahrenheit. The Touch brewer can reach this temperature by using its flash heating system and starts brewing in under 20 seconds {no joke}, even after being off all night.
It also only heats enough water for the selected cup size as opposed to the entire tank of water and turns itself off after using, making it much more energy efficient than its competitors.
Here is another thing I loved - you can choose from five cups sizes {6, 8, 10, 12 or 14} and three brew strengths {mild, medium or bold}.
