Cheese balls fill every holiday platter, yet sometimes that darn cracker breaks off mid-dip!
Don't worry, I've solved all your problems. Read on.
We're smack dab in the middle of December which means holiday parties and social gatherings. It means bringing something along to those parties that is an easy finger food. One that won't slop all over that new dress and one that doesn't leave you in tears after it spilled in transit all over the mini van floor.
Well, I've got just the appetizer you are looking for...
Meanwhile I'm not attending too many holiday parties this year, rather I'm knee deep in potty training {shoot me}, extreme cold temperatures already and it's not technically even winter {I want these house slippers for my freezing feet} and binge watching Parenthood in the afternoons while the two year old naps {why did it take me this long to watch this show?}.
So that my friends is the month of December in a nutshell for me. Oh, and did I forget to mention I have been humbled to the core with the response I received from my 12 Days of Holiday Giveaways series that just ended?
You guys are stellar. I love ya. Thank you.
So back to these cheese balls.
They are not just a thing of the 70's anymore. They are back! I took these to my holiday MOPS meeting this week and people snatched them up quickly.
I debated whether to stick the pretzel in the middle or to let people do that themselves, but in the end I did and it made a nice edible toothpick. Do yourself a favor and place an extra bowl of pretzels next to this dish as the hungry trolls will want more for extra dipping. As each cheese ball is probably a good three-biter.
I went back into the archives and used my Bacon Ranch Cheddar Cheese Ball recipe, but feel free to use any old goodie you have tucked away. The key is to just roll these puppies small.
Need any other fun holiday appetizers?
I am assuming the bacon is cooked ? Can bacon bits be used ?
