A fun dip that both kids and adults will dig into!
Just 5 ingredients to the M&M party your dreams.
So I had a reader email me the other day saying, "I love your recipes! But, I could use some a tad bit healthier."
Ha.
I laughed. A lot. The problem here is I prefer watching Netflix and developing sinful recipes rather than eating like a bird and lifting weights. It is what it is. And to be fair, I do have a ton of healthy recipes on here thee blog, maybe she needs to do a bit more research. Faithful readers will agree, right?
Faithful readers?
Golly, it's not like I eat M&M Cake Batter Dip every day. I only take a spoonful bite after dinner each night for two weeks until that awful, dreadful dip is gone and out of my fridge. It is a bit funny that the day after I receive that email this recipe is slated to go up the next day.
Serves her right.
I like to call this dip a PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH.
I actually might think this dip is a sin. I'm sorry, Lord, I made another batch today. I just cannot help myself. I tried to walk away but the spoon drug me to the fridge and dove in like a wild teenager on the first day of summer break. Please forgive me. This is my new night time prayer.
On day two of this sitting in my fridge I tried to do better by slicing up a few apples and telling myself, "I'm dipping in a piece of FRUIT, this is perfectly acceptable for breakfast". That was all well and good until my 7 year year old said, "Mom, this is a lot of chocolate for breakfast".
I have no idea why he has to be so smart.
Here's the thing folks. Make this for a party. Make this for a potluck. Make this for when your kids have their friends over. Do not make this when, of course thus is my life, you have three days home alone and it stares at you in the fridge.
My preferred method of dipping is graham crackers. It reminds me of when my Mom used to make graham cracker sandwiches out of leftover chocolate frosting from the Pillsbury tub. Anyone else have that snack growing up?
It was delightful.
This homemade version is so much better. Creamy, rich, an exuberant chocolate flavor and full of all the M&M's our little's hearts can desire. Feel free to add chopped peanuts {if you're kids don't have screaming fits about it}, additional mini chocolate chips or just leave as is. Trust me, it will get eaten by everyone.
You included.
Just do another lap around the track to make some room.
