Here in the Midwest many families purchase ground beef in bulk. This means we buy it directly from the farmer and have it processed at a local locker for pick up. Not only does it save us a ton of money {versus purchasing individual packets at the grocery story}, but we also know where our meat is coming from.
We just put in an order for a 1/2 of a beef that will be ready for us in early July. It should last us well over a year and give us an array of ground beef, roasts and steaks {pretty much the husband's dream}. Like many of you, ground beef is the bulk of the order as that is what we use the most!
