These Easy Cheeseburger & French Fry Burritos are a new Summer favorite
in our house!
My kids are done with school and are officially all up in my business for the summer! Moms, I'm sure you can relate. As a work-from-home Mom, I treasure the quiet days during the school year where I can plow through work fairly quick.
Now, it's a bit of a juggle fest - but it is fun having them home too!
You know what else the kids do during the summer? THEY EAT. Suddenly, lunches are back on the menu for four of us instead of just lonely old me. But today, I have the perfect quick lunch for you! McCain® has recently unveiled their Quick Cook Fries - Faster to Prepare. Easier to Share! What makes these fries GREAT is that they cook in half the time* compared to McCain traditional fries.
It was easy to find these McCain Quick Cook Fries in the freezer section at my local Hy-Vee store. I purchased the McCain® Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries, but they also come in straight cut and crinkle cut varieties as well. Click HERE to add these fries directly to your grocery cart.
When kids are hungry, they want to eat NOW. So to have some fries ready {and super crispy!} in just 10 minutes or less, well it's a double bonus.
Here's the deal - my kids love cheeseburgers and they love fries and they love burritos. So why not combine the three for a filling and fast lunch?
Since these fries cook quickly, they were done in just 9 minutes in my Air Fryer {10 minutes in the oven} and they were super crispy. Plus, no flipping is required. McCain potatoes are made with no artificial flavors, only 100% natural potato goodness you'll be happy to serve your kiddos - 100% real, 100% delicious, 100% real potatoes.
We chose the waffle fry variety, but the straight cut and crinkle cut version work great in these burritos as well.
For these tasty cheeseburger burritos, we added McCain Quick Cook Waffle Fries, cooked ground beef {mixed with just a bit of ketchup and mustard}, shredded cheese, diced tomato, shredded lettuce, and a healthy drizzle of thousand island dressing.
Honestly, that first bite is incredible and crisp!
Be sure to buy the big, burrito-sized flour tortillas {I mean, you want to load these babies up} and then tightly wrap the sides before rolling into the burrito. You might want an extra side of thousand island dressing on the side for dipping too.
This recipe makes four nice sized burritos. We cut them in half and served with extra McCain waffle fries on the side {of course} and let me just say it was WELL RECEIVED.
The kids immediately asked to make these again throughout the summer and I had no problem telling them yes.
You know what else is great about them? The waffle fries stayed nice and crispy even when wrapped up with all the cheeseburger burrito fixings. These fries are legit!
McCain Quick Cook products are great for getting meals on the table fast - especially now that the kids are home for the summer. I'm finding not only for lunches but for late dinners after getting home from the ball diamond. It's the old joke of we either we eat at 4 p.m. or 9 p.m. these days.....anyone with me?
These burritos will also become a rotation on game nights - it's easy to have the ground beef already prepared and the cold items ready to go in the fridge. Literally, it's just 9 minutes in the air fryer or oven to get these fries golden.
Then wrap them up and eat!
Get these McCain fries on your grocery list soon - browse HERE to see which retailer close to you has them in stock.
Also, once you have them - be prepared to go back and buy them out. You will want your freezer stocked for summer. Burritos everyday!
I cannot wait to see you guys making these Easy Cheeseburger & French Fry Burritos soon - I can guarantee your family will love them. Be sure to tag me {@sweetsavoryeats} with your photos, I'll be sure to share the love on social media.
