This dish has been a favorite for years!
If you are eating low carb it's a fun way to eat pizza without all the usual carbs.
If you eat gluten free or low carb then this dinner dish is for you! Or anyone really, it's so good! I used to call it "where's the crust pizza" because unlike traditional pizza there isn't any "dough" holding up all the fun pizza toppings.
Instead it's a cheese and egg base!
Stay with me here {trust me, it's delicious}.
I wanted to again share this recipe because SO many of us are wanting to eat healthy, yet still enjoy our pizza party Friday nights. You now have a way!
The "crust" for this low carb pizza gets an easy bake before topping with all the goods. You can easily bake it up even a day or two ahead and keep it in the fridge waiting until your ready to eat pizza with the family.
It gets crispy on the edges and holds firm for as many toppings as you want!
This recipe fills a 8x8 baking dish, but you can easily double the crust recipe and make a 9x13 pan if feeding a larger crowd. It's up to you! One large 4x4 slice comes out to just 6 carbs.
What are your favorite pizza toppings?
I've made SO MANY pizzas over the years. Many of which you guys have loved. I'll fully admit I'll put most anything on a pizza!
Recently you guys have gone bonkers over my Sweet Asian Chili Crab Rangoon Pizza, my Big Mac Cheeseburger Pizza and my Sheet Pan Breakfast Pizza. I'm happy to say that all of these can be made with this untraditional crust so they are a bit more low carb.
Give them a try!
I've served this pizza casserole again this past week - there were no complaints at our house! Serve it alongside some fresh fruit or a side salad and dinner is complete. We put chopped ham, pepperoni and black olives on this version.
If you have picky kid eaters let them dress it up themselves. Any toppings work! Even if it is just boring old cheese.
Extra slices can also be frozen individually on parchment paper and kept in a freezer bag for easy go-to meals. They reheat beautifully in the air fryer!
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one!
Snap a photo if you make it and tag me on social media {@sweetsavoryeats}, I'd love to see your version. And as always feel free to leave a star rating below on the recipe card. This helps other readers to know if they should make it too.
