Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake

This decadent breakfast casserole is easy to prep and fun for all!
My Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake is great for weekends or holidays.

This post is sponsored by AE Dairy, but all opinions are my own.

When AE Dairy and I started to brainstorm a recipe using their whole chocolate milk I knew this was going to be a fun one. Who doesn't love chocolate milk?

AE Dairy has been establishing their Midwest presence since 1938 and to this day they continue to do a WEEKLY taste test to make sure their products are to the utmost standards. Who gets this job? Taste testing their creamy and delicious chocolate milk would be any kid's dream.

After settling on a breakfast dish I knew their chocolate milk would make an unbelievable custard for a breakfast casserole. And look at this beauty we created!

Now that Fall is in full force and believe it or not the holidays are just around the corner, this breakfast bake is a great one to have in your back pocket. It is absolutely perfect for weekend breakfasts and holiday feasts.

There is no other time of year where we are with family and friends more; more often than not seated around the table for a meal.

And nothing beats this rich, creamy, sweet and filling dish - the croissants perfectly soak up the sweet chocolate milk and the streusel topping gives it an added crunch.

What's special about this one is that it can be made ahead - I recommend letting it "soak" in the refrigerator for 1 hour, but it can easily go longer. This gives you time to work on other dishes before you pop this one in the oven to bake.

It travels well too!

Cover with foil and bring to a family member's house to bake off; or bake at home and bring to the event warm. Works both ways.

This breakfast bake reminds many of French toast - but BETTER.

Fans of chocolate love the sweet custard middle + the crunchy pecan and chocolate chip topping. It really is just the best!

I recommend serving it alongside a glass of AE Dairy chocolate milk as well.
