These fun, frozen dark chocolate bites are so fun!
Layer in any frozen fruit for the ultimate treat.
I've noticed the new, hot item in the frozen food aisle is any type of chocolate covered frozen fruit! And while they ARE delicious, I couldn't help but think I could make these at home instead of shelling out $7 for a small bag.
And so, that is what I did - I made my own.
But first, I knew I needed to find the perfect silicone mini muffin pan for this. I had a few saved in my Amazon cart and finally after one getting recommended a few times I bit the bullet and grabbed it.
Not to mention it's cute! This silicone pan makes popping out these little dark chocolate bites such a breeze. Go ahead and grab yours HERE.
For this frozen fruit bites grab your favorite dark chocolate (or milk chocolate if that is your thing) and then your favorite fruit. In this batch I sliced up a banana, grabbed some blueberries from the freezer and sliced up some juicy strawberries.
And here's the BEST part. You need peanut butter too!
The combination of dark chocolate, fruit and peanut butter is heavenly. Plus, if you choose to sprinkle on a bit of coarse sea salt on top, they are down right perfect.
Thinking these look too glamourous for you? Think again! From start to finish this batch of 24 mini bites took me just 15 minutes. After that you slide the tray into your freezer and walk away. Go on about your day and come back later to a treat.
My kids flipped out when they came home from school to see these!
And unless you remember what pieces of fruit you covered in which cup, it's also a surprise to see what you get when you bite into them.
I cannot wait to see you make these! Be sure to tag me (@sweetsavoryeats) and show me your creations. I'll share the love and share your photo with my fans!

These are delicious and so simple! I had heart silicone molds from Valentine’s Day and used those. They turned out great. Also substituted coconut oil as I didn’t have avocado oil. Everyone loved them and were asking for more!
