Classic Summer Bruschetta

Just a few ingredients to this flavorful and fresh bruschetta.
Make a batch to share with friends and family!

I've been growing tomatoes in my backyard for close to 20 years. At times I've had a bigger garden where the tomatoes come in droves and other times I've only had a couple pots or a raised bed....but even when small I'll throw a tomato plant in there!

Over the years you've seen some of my popular tomato dishes. Here are your favorites!

Ingredients for bruschetta on a wooden cutting board.

I've been making bruschetta for years, it's a great way to use up a fresh tomato with minimal ingredients that you mostly have on hand (and if you have basil in your garden, you've got it all on hand!) so grab the goods and let's get started.

All you need is garlic, balsamic vinegar (invest in a bottle and it will last you a long time), fresh basil, salt and pepper.

This is my favorite salt - I use it in everything.

The flavors of this bruschetta marries together beautifully if you let it still awhile (a few hours great, overnight even better), but I won't penalize you if you grab a few bites right away!

I like to serve it with fresh bread - preferably a baguette sliced and toasted - but any bread, fresh or toasted is great. It's honestly the perfect party appetizer! It can be served at room temperature, so not fussy at all.

Aren't the colors so pretty?

I ate on this after the first day and then the second day I got creative....throwing some baguettes in the air fryer topped with bruschetta and some mozzarella cheese until they got bubbly and delicious.

Another great way to serve it!

Enjoy this Summer classic soon! It's easy to make and even easier to bring to a party or dinner. All of your tomato lovers will rejoice!
