Crock Pot Chocolate Pecan Cobbler

This decadent, rich chocolate dessert comes together quickly in the crockpot.

Great to feed a crowd!

This post is sponsored by AE Dairy, but all opinions are my own.

Fall has arrived and that means all things comforting! Food being at the top of that list. Slow, simmering soups, hot and bubbly casseroles and warm, filling desserts.

AE Dairy and I wanted to feature their chocolate milk this month – it’s our family’s favorite. I often describe it to people saying, “it’s like your drinking melted chocolate ice cream”. It is creamy and delicious.

But alas! Chocolate milk isn’t just for drinking, it can also be easily swapped with regular milk in chocolate desserts. Remember my Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake? That one is dreamy.

My new Crock Pot Chocolate Pecan Cobbler is great for a party (minimal work), busy nights when feeding a crowd (the crock pot does all the work), even great for when you have just a few baking items on hand yet want something fun (basic ingredients).

And who doesn’t love a dessert that technically you don’t even have to stir?

More on that later.

This chocolate cobbler is fun to throw together!

Layer 1: melted butter

Layer 2: simple chocolate cake ingredients

Layer 3: a sweet, crunchy topping

Layer 4: boiling water to bring it all together

And most definitely, NO STIRRING! You just layer on the ingredients in that order and the crock pot brings it all together in the end.

AE Dairy’s 2% reduced fat chocolate milk is a cult favorite, I’ve even heard it has its own fan club! It comes in gallons, half gallons, quarts and 12 oz sizes. This Summer when I visited the AE Dairy headquarters it was so neat to see it packaged in various sizes in their assembly plant. A super-efficient operation.

I served this with vanilla ice cream (highly recommend), but before I could even do that my daughter and her friends walked in the door after volleyball practice, each grabbed a spoon and started digging in. It was hard to even tell them to stop.

They loved it!

It’s warm, with a gooey, almost pudding like bottom and a soft, yet crunchy top. Once you top it with vanilla ice cream the absolute perfect bite comes together.

This is a great dessert idea for Fall and Winter, we already have our crock pots in a steady rotation, why not try a dessert – I’d love to see you guys make it! Serve it for friends and family or Sunday dinner at home. It’s warm, filling and full of chocolate flavor. I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying a scoop!

  1. This recipe looks like a dessert dream come true! Love how simple it is to make in a slow cooker while still packing so much flavor. While I was reading about kitchen tools recently, I came across Hexclad reviews , and now I’m tempted to try one of their pans for desserts like this. The gooey chocolate paired with crunchy pecans seems perfect for cozy nights. Thanks for sharing such a delightful recipe!
