You guys have loved my "famous" banana bread for years, so why not give it a glow up?
This version has hints of snickerdoodle!
Who doesn't love to bake up a little snacking bread when those bananas turn brown? If you are like me, I keep a bag of those has been bananas, peeled and ready to go in my freezer for all my banana bread baking needs.
For YEARS you guys have loved my famous banana bread recipe. And as the years go on I like to make different versions of it - remember my brown butter version?
Well, today it's the snickerdoodle version!
Snickerdoodle cookies have been around for ages and for good reason! That crispy on the edges, soft chewy center cookie dusted with cinnamon and sugar is delicious. I even made a blondie version for when you get lazy and don't want to make cookies.
A friend of mine actually brought this recipe to my attention - sometimes she'll randomly send me a link to a recipe online and say MAKE THIS!
So I got to work on my original banana bread recipe and turned it into a snickerdoodle version.
My version is soft and tender with a flakey cinnamon and sugar crust on top + a cinnamon and sugar middle. People will often ask me what makes my banana bread unique and I always tell them honey! In addition to sugar in the batter I also add honey. It adds a sticky sweetness that makes it fabulous.
This recipe makes two loaves. I dare you to try and not blow through both in 24 hours! My kids did.
I cannot wait to see you guys bake this up!
Save it all for yourself or give a loaf to a neighbor or friend (by the way, I gave a few slices to that friend who recommended I make this!).
