15 Soups You Need to Make Soon

We are in the heart of soup season!
Winter is bone chilling cold and warm hearty soups are the only cure. Here are 15 of my top favorites that you need to try soon.

A collage of hearty soup photos for winter.

One of my favorite meals is soup. Everything you need right there in one bowl. Give me a hunk of crusty sourdough bread for dunking on the side?

Even better.

Over the years I have made so many soups. All kinds - brothy, creamy, chunky, thin, simple and some more complicated. Yet, all good!

Luckily, my family is always on board with soup too. Nothing hits better on a cold day. I've hand picked my 15 favorites for you today. All ones with great reviews and lots of pageviews! So you know they are good.

Let's get started.

Cheesy Corn Bacon and Potato Chowder in a Dutch oven topped with bacon and green onions.

Cheesy Corn Bacon and Potato Chowder - a thick, cheesy chowder loaded with sweet corn, bacon and potatoes. This one is hearty and filling.

Cheese Tortellini Minestrone Soup - I often crave this one when I know my body needs vegetables, it's loaded with them in a tomato and beef broth + has added comfort with the tortellini pasta.

Instant Pot Chicken Enchilada Soup - many soups take awhile to come together but not this one! The Instant Pot brings it together quickly and the Mexican flavors are incredible.

Asian Chicken Ramen Soup in a white Dutch Oven with wooden spoon resting on the side.

Asian Chicken Ramen Soup - we've all had basic ramen, but this version is anything but basic! Loaded with extra veggies, chicken, Asian spices and sauces it's amazing when feeling under the weather.

Lasagna Soup - we all love the flavors of lasagna but don't always want to go to the work of making it. This soup tastes just like the dish but in soup form!

Creamy Turkey & Wild Rice Soup - this is my husbands #1 soup and has been for years. I often make it after Thanksgiving with the turkey leftovers, but you can easily use a rotisserie chicken too. The flavor is rich and hearty.

Beef Macaroni Soup in a white bowl topped with elbow macaroni noodles.

Beefy Macaroni Soup - I can whip this one together in no time it's a kid pleaser! Like a traditional vegetable soup, but with elbow macaroni noodles that makes everyone happy.

Pumpkin & Black Bean Chili - everyone has a basic chili recipe, but I like this one with the added benefits of fiber from the pumpkin and beans. It's creamy and filling and no one will even know there is canned pumpkin in there!

Chicken Noodle Chowder - we prefer this chowder version of chicken noodle soup because it's more filling and thicker. Everyone will have full bellies after a bowl!

Mini Meatball Italian Wedding Soup in a Dutch oven and a white bowl, topped with Parmesan cheese.

Mini Meatball Italian Wedding Soup - the tasty little meatballs in this soup makes the dish! And the flavorful broth takes the chill out of your bones. Another great one when feeling under the weather.

Crock Pot Chicken Taco Chili - if you love a "dump and go" type of dinner this one is for you. The crockpot does all the work. Many of the same flavors of traditional chili, but a creamy chicken version.

Instant Pot Beef & Potato Stew - this one tastes like it's been simmering all day on the stove, but really the Instant Pot brings it together in under an hour. Tender beef and potatoes are the start of the show in this one.

Sausage Ditalini Soup....in a light grey bowl with a spoon.

Sausage Ditalini Soup - the #1 soup of 2024, sausage and veggies lay in a creamy broth - each bite is so flavorful! Top this one with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, trust me.

BBQ Pulled Pork Chili - this one is fun! A unique take on regular chili, but with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, beans and chili spices. A fun one to also make when you have leftover pork on hand.

Cheeseburger Chowder - American's favorite food is a cheeseburger, so why not put those flavors in a soup? This one comes together in under an hour, it's so simple yet always a crowd pleaser.
